• Non-adherence to the installation, operating and maintenance instructions
• Repairs carried out with non-approved spare parts or by non-approved personnel
• Unauthorized interference with the battery
• Mixing different types and/or ages of batteries without obtaining approval
• Operating the batteries above 30℃ without temperature compensation
• voltage and/or internal resistance reading that are outside the limits
in this manual and are not improving when corrective action is applied. Failure to report ANY problem
in a timely manner often leads to permanent damage to the battery and the warranty will be void.
WARRANTY
Charging voltage 2.25-2.35 VPC at 25 deg. C. The batteries are assumed to be used in cycling service. If used with solar panels as chargers, there must be a high quality charge controller between the solar panels and batteries.
Temperature:
Average annual ambient temperature shall not exceed 77 deg. F/25 deg. C.
Cell temperature shall not exceed 92 deg. F/33 deg. C. for more than 30 days per year.
The vent caps must not be tampered with or removed.
The batteries must not be contaminated by any foreign matter.
This warranty does not apply to broken containers, covers or battery terminals which have been frozen or damaged due to neglect or abuse such as fire, flooding, explosives or any acts of nature.
Registration, installation and periodic inspection reports regarding temperature and conditions of use are to be maintained bythe end user and made available to Edic Ideal Battery on request to support any warranty adjustment claim.
All batteries should be recharged immediately following a discharge.
Batteries shall be boost charged every 3-6 months, while in storage, prior to final installation.
No battery will be covered under warranty in the event of improper installation and maintenance such as overcharging, undercharging, charging or installing in reverse polarity.
All maintenance functions (handling, storage and installation) must be performed in accordance with Edic Ideal battery’s Operation Manual.
Note: Edic Ideal batteries are rated to supply at least 95% of capacity at C/20 upon shipment.
These batteries will reach 100%capacity after approximately 25 cycles. The user is responsible for the shipping costs of all warranty replacements
